Today AWS released the new version DCV 2024.0. The Amazon DCV version 2024.0 introduces new features and enhancements, such as blanking of the Linux Console Screen and blocking input. NICE DCV is a high-performance remote display protocol that is designed to help customers securely access remote desktop or application sessions, including 3D graphics applications hosted on servers with high-performance GPUs.
DCV version 2024.0 offers the following features and improvements:
- Support for Ubuntu 24 Linux server and clients
- Enable scaling of the remote desktop to support arbitrary resolutions for Linux console sessions
- For Console sessions on a Linux server, DCV blanks the local screen and blocks the input
- Enabling QUIC UDP default on the DCV Server.
- Wayland support for Linux native client
- High pixel density for Web client on macOS
- Added echo cancellation on Linux and macOS clients
- Increased upload speed limits to 10 Mbps and 100 Mbps for the DCV web client and the DCV web client will show a banner if there is a degradation of network performance
- Added the capability to to drag and drop windows between multiple displays in the DCV web client
