NICE releases the new version NICE DCV 2021.1 which includes the following new features:
- Accurate audio/video sync – This feature reduces the delay between the audio and video streams. Customers can now perform workloads, such as audio or video editing, that require more accurate audio and video alignment.
- Stereo 2.0 audio recording for Linux server – DCV can capture stereo audio input from client. With this addition, DCV supports stereo audio input for both Windows and Linux servers.
- NICE DCV Session Manager improvements – Customers can now use the DCV Session Manager to execute any script with arguments when starting a virtual session on Linux. For example, users can use this feature to open a specific project file or application at session startup. In addition, users can specify more complex placement requirements when creating a new session. These requirements can now include characteristics and load of the targeted server node.
The accurate Audio/Video synchronization can be enabled in the upper left settings drop-down in the native DCV client:
NICE DCV is free to use on Amazon EC2 instances and is the remote display protocol used by Amazon Appstream 2.0, AWS RoboMaker, and Amazon Nimble Studios.
